The badge links to a live audit of your domain. A visitor who does not trust the badge can re-run the check themselves and compare.
It cannot slow your site
A cached SVG served with long-lived cache headers. No script executes on your page and nothing is loaded from a third party beyond the image itself.
It stays honest
The result refreshes every six hours. If your score drops, the badge drops with it — which is what makes it worth anything to the person reading it.
